 INDUSTRY NEWS
When baby boomers retire over the next 10 to 15 years, they’ll do so with unprecedented wealth. At this point, they’ll be ready to make changes to the look and feel of their home. As a result, they’ll be looking for excellent quality in both product and design.

One of the main features of our "No-Seam" wide-width sheers and laces (118") is its low upkeep. These fabrics are made up of 100% polyester fibres and are 100% washable.
You can soak curtains in bathtubs filled with lukewarm water and mild soap. Once the dust is removed, just ring out the fabric, rinse off the water and, while the curtain is still humid, hang it back on the track where it will dry and regain its original shape. This procedure can be repeated as often as necessary.

How long textiles will last depends in part on their selection and on the care you give them. Here are some hints to prolong their usefulness:

1. Keep in mind that closely woven fabrics are more durable than loosely woven fabrics.

2. Consider the amount of sun exposure the fabrics will receive. Silk is most vulnerable to light degradation while acrylic and polyesters are the most resistant.

3. Rotate draperies to vary light exposure.

4. Remember that regular cleaning is important to prolong the life of your textiles.

Tab-tops, ring-tops, tie-tops, and swags continue to be popular because of their lighter, more airy appearance.

The decorative poles, rings and finials that are used in these designs are becoming more and more diverse. Our decorative sconces and brackets are used to drape scarves in gentle, casual frames. Our stylish vertical blinds are used as under treatments to control light and privacy. Coordinating patterns from vertical blinds and horizontal blinds are becoming more popular.

We even carry a line of coordinating fabric and vertical blinds. This trend will most likely continue and you’ll see cleaner lines and glossy metals. We will not, however, give up comfort for hard surfaces and cold starkness. Comfort is here to stay, at least for a while.
